CSHS holds investiture ceremony

The student leaders for 2023 at Clifton State High School (CSHS) were sworn in and made their pledge at the school’s student leadership investiture.


The 2022 School Dux Julianne Espana and Head of Senior School Adam Layton.

School captains, house captains, senior mentors and Student Representative Council (SRC) members from the years 12 to 8 were sworn in.

Last year’s school captain Julianne Espana was announced as the 2022 Dux.

Julianne topped the cohort’s results for six subjects, Biology, Chemistry, English, Maths Methods, Physics and Legal Studies.

In the vast majority of her subjects she finished with results well above 90 out of a possible 100.

Two of her Legal Studies assessments were of such high quality they were selected by the Queensland Curriculum Assessment Authority as examples of the highest standard of student work in the state.

She has begun studying a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Queensland.
