Pittsworth Showgirl and Rural Ambassador presentation

Despite the changes that had to be made due to COVID-19, Pittsworth Show Society members, family and friends had a great night at Rusty’s Bar and Grill on Saturday, 19th February where over 60 people gathered to witness the presentation and sashing of the 2022 Miss Showgirl and Rural Ambassador for Pittsworth.

From left are 2021 Miss Popular Darling Downs Keely Berther, Pittsworth’s 2022 Rural Ambassador Belinda Weber, the 2022 Pittsworth Showgirl Sandy-Lea Riehl, Pittsworth’s 2020 and 2021 Showgirl Gabriella Moffatt, and Paige Caldwell who was Miss Darling Downs Showgirl in 2021.

At the dinner event, Sandy-Lea Riehl was announced as Pittsworth Show Society’s Miss Showgirl for 2022 and Belinda Weber was presented with the Rural Ambassador Sash for 2022.

Both girls will go on to represent Pittsworth at the Darling Downs competition at the Toowoomba Show – Belinda in 2022 and Sandy-Lea in 2023.

On the night, those who attended were privileged to have the company of Gabriella Moffatt, Pittsworth’s ‘2020 and 2021 Showgirl’, Paige Caldwell, ‘Miss Darling Downs Showgirl’ from Bell, and Keely Berther ‘Miss Popular Darling Downs’ from Toowoomba.

These young ladies, who have done their local shows and the Darling Downs proud during the past 12 months, assisted with the presentation and sashing.

The Pittsworth Show Society wished to thank the Showgirl and Rural Ambassador coordinators, Del McCoy and Amanda Riehl, for organising an amazing night, and everyone else who attended to support the evening.

Best of luck to both Sandy-Lea and Belinda who are sure to do Pittsworth proud in the forthcoming competitions.
