Darling Downs Health offering Pfizer vaccine
Darling Downs Health will provide doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine at a clinic at the Warwick Showgrounds this month.
The clinic will be set up from Tuesday 24 August to Friday 27 August (8.30am to 3.50pm) and on Saturday 28 August (8.30am to 1pm).
Vaccinations will be provided in line with current Australian Tech-nical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) re-commendations and guide-lines. Everyone who is eligible, and wants to have a vaccine, can pre-register their interest.
Registrations can also be done online via www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au (when registering online, select “any other eligible criteria” to complete your form).
If you have questions about the vaccine, talk to your doctor or health care worker to get the right, up-to-date information. “The vaccination is safe and is free. It is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community,” Annette Scott, Executive Lead for the Darling Downs Health Emergency Operations Centre said.
If you plan to attend the clinic, please bring ID, your Medicare card, and a pen.
NOTE: People who have received one dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, which has been provided recently through GPs and Aboriginal Medical Services, should receive a second dose of Astra Zeneca and NOT a Pfizer vaccine. If you are unsure which vaccine you have received, talk to doctor or health care worker.
