RV rollover at Eton Vale
Traffic was disrupted for more than two hours on Saturday after a “gooseneck” recreational vehicle rolled on the New England Highway.
The incident occurred south of the highway junction with the Cambooya Connection Road and Ramsay Road at Eton Vale.
Emergency services were called to the crash scene shortly after 1pm.
It appears the driver of the vehicle lost control and skidded onto the side of the highway, where the unit rolled into the table drain.
The rear section of the recreational vehicle was demolished as a result of the rollover.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated two occupants of the prime mover at the scene, but they did not require hospitalisation.
A heavy towing unit had to be brought in to remove the prime mover and the base of the recreational vehicle from the site.
