10 years for Pittsworth IGA team

On Friday of last week Shane and Tracy Smith celebrated 10 years of owning and running Pittsworth’s IGA store.

The staff members at Pittsworth IGA were called up from across the floor as work stopped for a group photo and the chance to grab a slice of cake.
The staff members at Pittsworth IGA were called up from across the floor as work stopped for a group photo and the chance to grab a slice of cake.

Two children who had been waiting patiently got the first slices of anniversary cake.

Pittsworth IGA Co-owner and Director Shane Smith thanked employees who were present for their service over the years, in particular Christine French, Madonna Dunshea, Emily Gray and Julieann Williams who had been there since the takeover of the business on 1st December 2013.

The normally unflappable owner even shed a few tears, prompting wife and Co-owner Tracy to jump in.

“It shows you the love and support you have for all of the customers,’ she said.

In a welcome coincidence, the mood was further improved when a local IGA  customer was presented with the first in a year’s worth of grocery vouchers.

Raff Group employee Sharon Denning was lucky enough to be one of four people across Queensland to win $12,000 in IGA Gift Cards for a year, and was presented by Tracy with the first instalment of her prize.

As part of the award, Sharon will receive a $1000 voucher each month.
