A special birthday for a special dog
On 26 February Milly the Silky Terrier will turn 10 years old.

We often see Milly being pushed in a stroller or taking a walk around the streets of Allora.
Devoted owner Julie Gorham enjoys the company of her special Silky Terrier that is blind.
As well as humans, animals can also have the serious eye condition Glaucoma that damages the optic nerve.
So, what did Julie do when she was told Milly had Glaucoma?
She organised a vet to insert silicone eyeballs into the shell of Milly’s eyes.
So, while Milly cannot see Milly lives a happy pampered life and gets very excited around special people and particularly loves kids.
Milly’s brother Archie that was out of the same litter also developed Glaucoma and had the same operation with silicone eyeballs inserted. Archie, a very loving Silky had a happy family life but unfortunately went to Puppy Heaven 2 years ago.
