Allora Bowls 90th Anniversary
Allora Bowls Club recently celebrated its 90th Anniversary with many locals enjoying the hospitality of the Sports Club.
Congratulations Patto! Not many bowlers can have a Bowls Green named after them but not many Bowls Greens have a stalwart like Greg Patterson.
During the celebrations a presentation was made to a very surprised and deserving Greg “Patto” Patterson for the dedication and work he has put into the Tuesday night Social Bowls.
Greg started night bowls 15 years ago when the Allora Bowls Club nearly disbanded and it is now a great night for many people with 14 teams or 42 players enjoying the game.
It was also very special to have Leona Sinton, Heather Slatter, Kay Bloomfield and Lynn Patterson on hand to cut the beautifully decorated anniversary cake.
These people have been members of the club for a very long time and it was wonderful to welcome them back.
