This is about more than filling committee positions. It’s about becoming part of an organisation that belongs to our community and helping build its future as we work towards the next chapter of the Allora Show Society’s proud history.

We’re looking for people who value our traditions but also bring fresh ideas, new energy and a passion for community. Together we can continue delivering great events while ensuring the Showgrounds remain a safe, welcoming place for families, competitors and visitors to enjoy.

At the AGM, all committee positions will be declared vacant and nominations are invited prior to the meeting. We’re also looking to grow our Management Committee so the workload can be shared, making our events stronger, more sustainable and more enjoyable for everyone involved. We’re also seeking:

Chief Stewards and Assistant Stewards for Show sections.

Volunteers to assist with canteens, gates, event set-up and pack-down

A live-in caretaker (applicant to provide their own caravan) with paid arrangements to help care for and maintain the Showgrounds.

The future of the Allora Show Society depends on community involvement. Whether you can give a few hours, take on a committee role, or simply lend a hand when needed, your support makes a real difference.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is the time.

Let’s work together to preserve what makes our Show Society special while building an even brighter future for generations to come.

- Carol Lyall, President Allora Show Society
