Anchorfield Wellness Centre now complete
What started out as a kind gesture some years ago has now come full circle as Lyn Brazil and Kate Hanley completed the stone sign placement at the entrance of the Anchorfield Wellness Centre at Beauaraba Living on 3rd June. The sign will now direct resident and community traffic to this special place of rehabilitation.

Mr Brazil and Mrs Hanley worked closely over the past few years, along with the Beauaraba Living Management Team, to create a special place where residents could go, to enhance their long-term health and where their happiness needs could be met.
Mr Brazil’s generosity has brought the centre to life, and its been aptly named Anchorfield in honour of his Brookstead farming enterprise.
Mrs Hanley desired to see this task through to completion, even though she formally retired from Beauaraba Living in November last year.
With the sign’s placement, the Anchorfield Wellness Centre is now been complete.
The goal of the centre was to promote reablement, rehabilitation and restoration through improving mobility, emotional wellbeing, physical wellbeing and to promote independence.
Beauaraba Living continues to partner with experienced physio-therapists and staff trained in physio assist, who provide personalised programs to improve the quality of life of people with complex neurological, cardiac, metabolic and orthopaedic conditions.
The Wellness program begins with a comprehensive consultation to assess individual health issues and concerns, then an individual treatment plan is developed including exercise classes and rehabilitation sessions.
There are regular reassessments by physio-therapists, and amendments are made if required.
Each exercise program includes small group classes led by a physiotherapist or physio assist in a fun, safe and relaxed environment.
Residents can access the Anchorfield Wellness Centre fully equipped gym, during supervised hours or by appointment.
