Arrests after Westbrook crash
At around 3.30pm on Wednesday, August 30, police arrested two men at Westbrook after intercepting an allegedly stolen Ford Ranger.
Police had tracked the vehicle and successfully deployed a tyre deflation device, with the vehicle continuing on before crashing through a farm fence on Toowoomba Athol Road, near the junction with Moore Road.
No one was injured.
A 29-years-old man and 34-years-old man were taken into custody at the scene without incident and a firearm was allegedly located in the vehicle.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen from Flagstone on August 13.
A 29-years-old man has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving under the influence of liquor, an evasion offence, unlawful possession of weapons, driving a motor vehicle without a licence and obstructing a police officer.
A 34-years-old man has been charged with wilful damage, stealing, receiving tainted property, entering a dwelling and committing an offence, unlawful possession of weapons, obstructing a police officer and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
