The hall has been closed since early March 2022 while repairs were carried out.

Mayor Melissa Hamilton, Deputy Mayor Sheryl Windle Councillor Sarah Deane and Councillor Carla Pidgeon were in Allora on Friday for the official re-opening of the Community Hall.

Unfortunately only a small number of people attended the official opening which could have been due to a lack of publicity about the event.

At the re-opening Mayor Melissa Hamilton thanked the Allora residents for their patience while the important safety and structural works were completed.

“Council is grateful for the community’s patience throughout the repair process.

I know the community is looking forward to having its hall back, and with the upgrades completed, the hall can continue to be an integral part of the Allora community for the years ahead,” Mayor Hamilton said.

For any group or anyone who would like to hire the Allora Community Hall, contact Council on 1300 697 372.
