Back road artists exhibit in Gundy
Local artist collective, Back Road Artists, have an exhibition on display at the Goondiwindi Regional Art Space.

The Back Road Artists are from Wyreema, Clifton, Greenmount, Nobby and Cambooya.
From the 26th of June to the 15th of August they have a group show on display at the Goondiwindi Regional Art Space.
The exhibition includes a wide array of each artist’s own portfolio.
The show was a great chance for the Back Road Artists to exhibit together: regional artists in a regional gallery.
Councillor Julia Spicer of the Goondiwindi Regional Council opened the exhibit with the Back Road Artists in attendance.
Nobby resident Angie Hart is a Back Road Artist.
She and the other members of the collective were very grateful to be invited to exhibit.
“Being invited to exhibit in Goondiwindi has meant a great deal to our group,” Angie said.
“As artists we pour our hearts and souls into our work and every painting tells a story.
“Hanging those works on the walls and sharing them with a wider audience is a both a privilege and a vulnerable experience,” Angie said.
The Back Road Artists are a very collaborative group, and one of the few regional art collectives in Australia.
“What makes our group unique is the way we support one another, we’re more than just a collection of individual artists.”
“We share ideas, solve problems, encourage each other, run workshops together and actively seek out exhibition opportunities,” Angie said.
The Goondiwindi Art Space provided a great space for the exhibition.
“The girls who work in the art space welcomed us and we really enjoyed each others energy.
“The visitors gave a lot of positive feedback on our work and many said that they’d return over the 7 week duration of the exhibition.
“We hope its one of many chances to share our art with the community,” Angie said.
