Bad crash on Gatton Clifton Road

Last Tuesday, the 31st of March, a young man escaped with his life from a crash along the Gatton Clifton road.


A 24 years old man allegedly hit a pole, then a concrete drainage pipe which caused his car to flip multiple times.

The 24 years old driver failed to negotiate a corner, from which point his vehicle hit a power pole or sign.

The vehicle continued straight ahead, hitting a concrete drainage pipe, ripping it up, and out of the driveway under which it was laid.

The vehicle appeared to have flipped several times.

The driver was the only one inside the vehicle and there were no witnesses to the crash.

The male occupant was able to climb from the car after the engine caught fire.

The young man was allegedly under the influence, returning a positive roadside reading.

He was transported to Toowoomba Hospital by emergency services.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
