Bears A Grade on the winners list again
Oakey’s men have snapped a five game losing streak, defeating Goondiwindi Boars 50-26 at The Den on Saturday.
A Grade
Oakey Bears 50 (Richard Murray 2, John Palavi 2, Tony Clevin 2, Joey Alberts, Robert Kennedy, Harrison Burns tries Tony Clevin 5 goals) defeated Goondiwindi Boars 26 (Samukie Gaiden, Ronnie Duncan, Jed Kindt, Brady Martyn, Damian McIntosh tries Malik Woodbridge 3 goals)
Oakey came out of the blocks quickly, scoring in the first minute of the game and opening up a 36-4 lead at the half time break.
After being given a rev up by coach Callum Skinner, Goondiwindi cut the deficit to 36-22, but could not sustain the comeback.
Bears’ lock Richard Murray continued his great form, crossing the stripe twice with Palavi and Clevin.
