Big start to the year for Pittsworth Scout Group
It’s been a huge term of achievement and adventure for Pittsworth Scout Group, with youth members reaching personal milestones, developing new skills, and diving into exciting experiences.

Oliver Smith has been awarded the prestigious Grey Wolf Award - the peak achievement in the Cub Scout section - after completing leadership milestones, Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Area badges, and leading a hike with fellow Cubs.
He has now officially transitioned into the Scout section - congratulations, Oliver!
Venturer Scouts have also seen exciting growth, with Orca (Megan Smith) officially invested as a Venturer Scout Leader.
She brings energy, leadership, and a passion for learning and sharing Scouting skills.
Lindsay Schultz has transitioned from Scouts into the Venturer section, bringing it up to 6 members.
New members have been warmly welcomed into the group, including Skylar Sacagio into Cub Scouts, and Damian Evans and Phoenix Durrington into Scouts.
Many youth members were also recognised with badge presentations across a wide range of areas including paddling, bushcraft, bushwalking, aquatic skills, cycling, and Special Interest Areas.
A special congratulations goes to Ava, Sofia, Jaxon, Jesa, Zoe, Sammy, Jaydin, Oliver, Kobi, and Arabella, who were awarded the Messengers of Peace badge for their work packing
bags of essential items for women and girls as part of the Share the Dignity initiative.
So far this year, youth members have enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including a water activities day to develop canoeing skills, Clean Up Australia Day participation, a disco, campfire cooking, scrapbooking, and ANZAC Day commemorations.
A standout experience was the Australian Jamboree in Maryborough, where eight youth members and two leaders spent 12 action-packed days in January.
Scouts also took part in Jamboree on Pedals - a fun, hands-on cycling event.
Looking ahead, the Scout Group has an exciting program planned, including air activities (with actual flights!), abseiling, camps, hikes, Urban Challenge, Operation Nighthawk (an overnight orienteering challenge), and much more.
Pittsworth Scout Group meets every Friday night during the school term
