Bowenville Cricket celebrates best at Banquet
Bowenville Cricket Club held its club banquet on Saturday night, at which captain and Central Downs Player of the Year Brenden Scifleet was recognised for achieving the unique feat of most runs, most catches and equal-most wickets for the club.

Although club captain ‘Bumper’ Scifleet was unable to make it to the function, the award was presented to him at his workplace in Oakey.
The Bowenville Cricket Club Banquet provided a welcome homecoming for Club President Jason Lee who had been absent for most of the summer.
It also provided the club with a chance to honour life members such as club patron Ray Chicken, Lindsay Evans and Dave Smith.
Although Bowenville finished last in the Central Downs competition this summer, there were still some outstanding performances to celebrate.
Captain Scifleet achieved the incredible feat of scoring the equal-most runs, taking the most catches, and the equal-most wickets while young gun Joe Roberts received best batting average.
Newcomer Linsay Cahill won best fielder of the season, an award based on points allocated by opposing captains after games.
