Burnouts on roundabout “sheer stupidity”
Police are investigating the wilful damage of the roundabout situated on the intersection of Yandilla and Murray Streets in Pittsworth, which occurred last Friday, 30th January at approximately 10pm.

“This kind of behaviour is sheer stupidity,” Sgt. Tim Hoffmann, Officer in Charge at Pittsworth Police Station, said.
“It is a deliberate act without any consideration for our beautiful town and the people who live within it.”
On the night of the incident, a cream coloured Toyota Landcruiser was observed to drive onto the roundabout and conduct a burnout on the grassed area.
The vehicle then drove off the roundabout and a short time later reversed back onto the grassed area conducting a second burn out.
This has caused considerable damage to the manicured lawn area.
The vehicle observed (pictured) is quite distinctive with boxes attached to the back with two spare wheels.
There was a single male occupant driving the vehicle.
“We will do everything to catch the perpetrator of this offence and hold them to account,” Sgt. Hoffmann said.
“We have a number of videos and photographs relating to the incident.
“It is only a matter of time.”
Police are calling on anyone who recognises this distinctive vehicle to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or the local police station.
“Someone will know this vehicle,” Sgt. Hoffmann said.
“We appeal to anyone with any knowledge of it to reach out,
“Together we can hold people to account and make a difference.”
