Busy “Off Season” For Allora Swimmer Bailey Harm
After a successful summer that culminated in a relay Gold Medal win at Swimming Australia’s National Age event on the Gold Coast, Bailey has spent his winter balancing Swimming with his Track and Field pursuits.
Bailey was selected to attend Swimming Queensland’s Tilly Cup Possible/Probable trials as well as a Talent Identification testing camp in Brisbane.
As a selected athlete in the You for 2032 Swim program, he attended a two day camp at the QLD Academy of Sport, listening to and learning from Olympians as well as experts in nutrition and performance.
At the recent DDRSA Short Course Championships, he broke 6 age records plus two open age records, winning all 8 events including the Regional Short Course Open Sprint Championship.
Bailey competed at the QLD Short Course Championship in Brisbane winning Silver in the 15 years 50m Free, 50m Breast and 100m Free.
At this event, he was named as one of 18 recipients of Swimming Queensland’s inaugural Hancock Prospecting Pa-trons Scholarships for emerging youth talent. Bailey was awarded the Olympic Pathway Scholar-ship for the Darling Downs region.
Bailey will travel to Sydney next week as a member of the QLD School Sport Swimming Team to compete in seven events at the School Sport Australia National Championships.
