With a silver medal finish (2nd place) in the discus and an 8th place in the shot put, Joe has earned his place among the state’s top young athletes.

His performance has now secured him the opportunity to compete as part of the Queensland team in Canberra later this year, a major milestone for the young athlete.

Beyond his individual achievements, Joe was also appointed Team Captain of the regional Darling Downs Athletics Team.

His selection as captain recognises not only his athletic talent but also his leadership qualities, maturity and the respect he has earned from his coaches and peers.

Joe is now preparing to take on the best young throwers in the country at the National Titles in November.

The experience offers exposure to competition against the best young athletes in Australia.

Congratulations, Joe!

You’ve achieved something special and good luck.
