Charges Laid over fatal crash at Wyreema
A woman has been charged over the crash that took the life of a 57 years old Wyreema woman in July of last year.
Officers from Toowoomba’s Forensic Crash Unit have charged a 37 years old Felton woman following a protracted investigation.
The fatal crash occurred in Wyreema, just before 5pm on the 30th of July 2025.
It is alleged that a white 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser was travelling south on the Toowoomba Karara Road when it crashed into a silver 2011 Toyota Aurion which was travelling north.
The 57 years old Wyreema woman died at the scene.
The 37 years old Felton woman has been charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and driving under the influence.
The accused was travelling with three passengers at the time.
The 37 years old Felton woman and the passengers, each aged three four and six, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries at the time.
She is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on the 30th of March.
Police are asking that any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage of the events leading up to the crash contact police.
Investigations into the incident continue.
