Chelsea & Reagan Battalion Medallists
Local rugby league achievers Chelsea Middleton and Reagan McMillan brought home cherished winner’s medallions from last weekend’s XXXX QRL Central Division 47th Battalion Women’s Carnival in Bundaberg, wearing the colours of the Toowoomba Clydesdales.

Highfields Eagles back-rower, Reagan, another Central Downs local and former Wattles Warriors junior, was also judged among the Clydesdales’ outstanding performers in a very dominant line up.
Clifton local Chelsea, who plays for the Southern Suburbs Tigers in the TRL Open Women’s premiership, capped off a superb weekend when she was named Player of the Carnival.
In sensational fashion, the Toowoomba Open Women’s team finished the Carnival undefeated across Saturday and Sunday, accounting for the Rockhampton Rustlers 24-8 and Central Highlands 14-0 on Saturday to qualify for Sunday’s Grand Final against Sunshine Coast.
In what was billed as replay of last year’s decider, in 2025 the Clydesdales proved an overwhelming force defeating Sunshine Coast 26-4.
Both players found the try line with Chelsea crossing in the five try to two win over Rockhampton, and Reagan scoring the first touchdown of the three try to nil success over Central Highlands, a victory that earned a Grand Final berth.
Reagan also claimed one of the five tries in the Carnival decider.
Both players have been regulars in the Western Clydesdales squad competing in the Harvey Norman Under 19 Women’s Premiership this season against teams across Queensland.
