Clifton State School Students Visit Nirvana
Clifton State School students popped into Nirvana on Friday the 8th of May to visit the residents. One resident was so happy with the visit that she asked her daughter to call the school and tell them about how much it meant.
The students’ visit was part of a plan about bringing joy to the community.
To The Clifton Courier offices they brought a wonderfully crafted, colourful, paper-straw flower.
They also went to Nirvana where they visited and spent time with the residents.
One resident, Mrs Moya Cupitt enjoyed the visit so much, that she got her daughter, Anne-Maree Stewart, to call the school and tell them just how much it meant to her Mum.
“Mum hasn’t been able to stop talking about the visit on Friday, how beautiful the children were and the lovely cards they made,” Anne-Maree said.
“Moya asked her daughter to call us to express her appreciation of the gesture, it made her day, week and month!” school principal Joel Fogwell said.
Funnily enough Moya’s late husband, Greg Cupitt had been a principal at Clifton State School.
He was even in the Guinness Book of Records for being the youngest principal ever at 17!
Well done to the little tackers at Clifton State School and their teachers for such a worthwhile effort.
