Cooyar Show “one of biggest to date”
Quinalow and Kulpi State Schools both attended and entered in the 2026 Cooyar Show on Saturday, described as “one of our biggest shows to date” by the Show Secretary.

Highlights of the Show included main entertainment act ‘The Rooftop Express Show’, as well as chainsaw racing, a smash up derby, $2 sideshow rides and the bull and bronc ride in the evening.
Show Secretary Brianna Hurley said the committee was very pleased with the success of the event.
“The 2026 Cooyar Show was one of our biggest shows to date,” Ms Hurley said.
“The weather turned it on with a beautiful sunny day.”
Cooyar’s big event of the year also provided surrounding local schools with a chance to shine.
Quinalow State School’s cattle team was there to compete.
Kulpi State School created an indoor display, and its students entered in several categories including art displays, flower bowls, handwriting and for the first time, photography using school iPads and the drone.
“We (were) so proud to have our school on display at Cooyar, showcasing all of the amazing things happening at Kulpi State School!” Principal Sharley McGovern said.
“A huge thank you to Mrs Lebsanft for her creativity, vision and the time she put into designing and bringing (our) display together.
“It (looked) absolutely fantastic and captures the heart of Kulpi SS perfectly!”
