2022 Graduating Class - Year 10 - Allora P-10 State School

The 59th annual Allora P-10 State School Awards Night was held on Tuesday 15 November, celebrating 155 years of local schooling. It was an entertaining evening with music provided by the School Bands.

The School Captains welcomed those in attendance, Dr Shaun Kanowski presented his Principal’s address and Mrs Alana McMillan, President of the P&C delivered her annual report.

Sports Captains presented the annual Sports Report, with the presentation of certificates, trophies and medallions for sport, by Mr Perry Cronin, President of the Allora Regional Sports Museum.

Special Awards were presented by Mrs Barbara Reedman who recently retired as the School’s Business Manager, after more than 32 years of service.

Councillor Marco Gliori of the Southern Downs Regional Council, who attended on behalf of the Mayor,  presented the Year 10 students with their graduation medallions.

Former School Captain Adina Gunnis presented the Academic Awards. Adina graduated from Allora 10 years ago. At her Year 10 Awards Night in 2012, she tied for the Dux trophy and was awarded the Lex Ellwood trophy for leadership and community service as well as the Conductor’s trophy for Instrumental Music. Adina now works as a Child Safety Officer in Rockhampton.
