At approximately 7.30, a truck and a white Hyundai sedan collided, causing the smaller vehicle to leave the roadway and roll down a steep embankment into nearby scrubland.

The 82-years-old female driver of the Hyundai, from Pittsworth, was not reported to have been trapped in the vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service said the female was treated for abdominal injuries, and transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the truck, a 46-years-old male from Goondiwindi, was uninjured.

Three police units, along with two fire crews attended the crash site.

The Gore Highway was partially closed for approximately an hour while emergency crews worked to clear the area and investigate the circumstances of the collision.
