Crossing carnage!

Over the weekend, someone caused some damage at the rail crossing at the northern end of town.

It seems as if someone hooked the corner a bit early and ended up attempting their own crossing of the train line.

It was on Sunday that Cliftonites first noticed the damage which had been done to the fencing on the Clark Street side of the northern rail crossing.

The posts were bent over, the wiring was detached from the frame and bits of debris were scattered by the tracks.

The incident did not cause any damage or disruption to the train line itself or to services running through Clifton.

Queensland Police revealed that they had no record of the incident being called in.

Queensland Rail crews were out on Monday to assess the damage and begin repairs to the fence.
