Drop Bears into Junior Cricket final
Oakey Drop Bears have qualified for Toowoomba Junior Cricket’s post-Christmas Grand Final next Saturday morning at the Millmerran Cricket Ground following their 36 run victory over MECC TAS on the weekend.

Drop Bears won the toss and elected to bat.
A shaky start made for scintillating viewing with the middle order able to re-group and push through to put 162 runs on the board.
Ben Schmidt led the way with a shining 50 retired not out.
Thank you to Assistant Coach Ben Day for offering words of encouragement and guidance for the kids, asking them to dig deep and give it everything!
Thank you also to Chris Scheuerle for keeping score and to all the family and friends who came to watch.
