Excavator mishap causes power outage
Over a thousand Ergon Energy customers were without power last Thursday in the Westbrook area due to an excavator damaging an underground cable.

The incident occurred just after midday and affected power in the vast majority of the Westbrook township, excluding the south-west corner, impacting over 1,200 properties.
Acreage properties were also affected to the south, east and north of Westbrook township, extending into parts of Drayton and Glenvale.

Power was progressively restored to customers when safe to do so as Ergon crews made emergency repairs.
