Family fun at Kingsthorpe
Kingsthorpe IGA, the Kingsthorpe Medical Centre and the Kingsthorpe State School P&C held a family fun day in Kingsthorpe on Saturday August 19.
Kingsthorpe IGA, the Kingsthorpe Medical Centre and the Kingsthorpe State School P&C held a family fun day in Kingsthorpe on Saturday.
With new management taking over at two of Kingsthorpe’s Central Shopping Centre stores, it was thought that it would be a good opportunity to promote some community spirit.
Kingsthorpe State School P&C Association cooked sausages to raise funds for the school.
Kingsthorpe Medical Centre provided face-painting for the kids, proving that a trip to the doctors didn’t have to be a scary one.
The event was considered succesful with a relatively strong walk-up crowd.
It’s hoped that there will be more community events in Kingsthorpe in the coming year.
