Farewell assembly for ‘Biddeston kid’ Olivia

The assembly was organised by the school’s principal Mr David Doogan who told those gathered about Olivia’s humility, work ethic and discipline.
“Not just on the sporting field, but the person you are,” he said.
Olivia departs with Mum Haley for Barcelona on 6th June.
The selection came as somewhat of a surprise to Mum as Olivia explains:
“After the tournament, Mum said, ‘You played really well, but you’re too little’,” she said.
Olivia said she’s excited by the upcoming challenge, but not looking forward to the long flight.
She got into futsal while looking for match practice after several of her soccer matches were rained out.
Olivia plays up-front as a striker.
Whilst the tour itinerary is not yet known, the trip is expected to include a visit to Barcelona FC’s home ground Camp Nou.
