Fight Night happening this Saturday
Richo’s Boxing Gym, based in Hodgson Vale, is hosting ‘The Event’ fight night at Clifford Park Racecourse this Saturday, 22 November, with doors opening at 4pm and the fights starting at 5pm.
Pumped for ‘The Event’ are Richo and his right hand man ‘Micka’ Matthews.
Promoter Brett ‘Richo’ Richards said the night will feature a mix of two professional and ten amateur bouts.
The pro fights include Cassidy ‘Candyman’ Thornberry vs Cody Poynter and Chris ‘Guly’ Oliver vs Patrick ‘Pride of Palm Island’ Clark.
It will be a fitting end for the career of hometown hero Chris Oliver, as his first ever fight held at Oakey was also promoted by Richo.
On the line will be ten Great Divide championship belts to be contested by some of Queensland’s best up and coming fighters.
Richo said aside from the battle in the ring, there will be memorabilia for sale, an auction, silent auction and a multi-draw raffle.
