Flock to Cambooya Hall for BirdLife Presentation
Cambooya Landcare Association is inviting avid birdwatchers and ornithological novices alike to attend a presentation on local birds, their identification and citizen science at Cambooya Hall this Sunday, 23 November.

The free event will run from 3.30pm to 5pm and feature Scot McPhie, qualified ornithologist and Project Co-ordinator of BirdLife Australia’s Birds on Farms project, who will give a presentation on birds in the local area.
In addition to discussing the more commonly sighted birds in the region, the talk will cover rarer species as well as tips and tools that can assist in bird identification.
Scot will also speak about the recently launched Lockyer-Toowoomba Birds on Farms project, which has extended its scope to include Cambooya and other surrounding areas.
Attendees will learn what the project entails and how landholders and aspiring citizen scientists can be involved.
There will be giveaways and lucky door prizes throughout the event and a light dinner afterwards including a sausage sizzle.
This event has been made possible thanks to partial sponsorship by Toowoomba Regional Council through its Community Support Grant program.
The Cambooya Landcare Annual General Meeting will precede the Birdlife Presentation.
All who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by email to cambooyalandcare@gmail.com
Children (accompanied by an adult) are most welcome.
