Free at last - the lights have gone!

Motorists were relieved to be able to have a clear run out of town last week after traffic signals were taken away from the Pittsworth Felton Road adjacent to the new Tuana Park residential estate.

Regular users of Pittsworth Felton Road were becoming frustrated when they sat at the traffic signals for up to three minutes with not much action from the other end.

Having to wait as long as three minutes at the red light was hard to accept for many motorists as quite often there was very little traffic on the road.

However, it wasn’t all bad news - Stage one of the new estate, with sixteen allotments, is a welcome addition to Pittsworth’s land availability.

It’s reportedly been more than a decade since such an estate has been created in the town.

There has been a strong uptake of the blocks with nine already under contract.

The blocks are priced from $190,000.

Development works on the subdivision, off Margetts Street, are nearing completion and it is anticipated that building work will be able to get underway soon.

The estate is being developed by two couples, Doug and Diane Cattell and Mark and Kate Droney.

The development of the second stage will take the number of allotments on the estate to 35.

Any enquiries about the subdivision can be directed to Mark Droney on 0409 118 462.
