Fundraiser will be a conversation starter
A not-fot-profit organisation driven to provide easily accessible support to tradies and blue collar Australians, will be the beneficiary of a major fundraiser this month at the Pittsworth Bowls Club.
All funds raised at Bowling for a Brighter Future on October 15 will go to the organisation This is a Conversation Starter (TIACS) which aims to remove the physical and financial barriers that prevent tradies and other blue collar Australians from accessing the help they need.
Trained counsellors can be accessed via phone or text message free of charge.
The organisation has supported almost 12,000 clients in the past two years.
TIACS was started by the co-founders of TradeMutt Ed and Dan, pictured, after they realised many people were reaching out to mental health services and support, but receiving no reply.
The fundraiser will offer up a fun day of bowls, an auction, raffles and a sausage sizzle.
