Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries plant pathologist Lisa Kelly advises growers to monitor crops closely for disease symptoms.

Fusarium wilt has also been spotted in the Warwick, Chinchilla and Burnett areas.

Growers can minimise the spread of the disease by avoiding movement through infected paddocks and thoroughly removing any infected debris from machinery, vehicles and footwear.
