Goomburra part of Musical Tour
Well known singer-songwriter and Queensland music award nominee Clare Cowley will be performing with her band The Flames at the Goomburra Town Hall next month as part of her Synthetic Lover Album Tour.
Locals know Clare Cowley as being originally from a dairy farm outside Allora. Clare’s musical journey began with sing-alongs around the piano, and hearing her father John Cowley sing at community events, inspiring recorded music that embodies this spontaneous spirit.
At the Goomburra Town Hall velvety vocalist Clare will be joined by all-female band The Flames, featuring dynamic backing vocalist Julia Bates and poetic violinist Skye McNicol. Paired with Clare’s fingerpicked guitar and smoky harmonica this Meanjin based outfit offers breathtaking harmonies, on new songs from the album that highlight the singer songwriter’s lyrical sincerity. Clare & The Flames performed a successful launch in Brisbane at The Old Museum with the crowd funded album Synthetic Lover reaching no. 15 in the 4zzz radio top 20 weekly charts and is now available on Bandcamp and other digital platforms.

Doors open at 2.30pm with first act The Fern Sisters at 3.40 followed by tea, coffee and bar snacks.
