Goomburra Thinks Pink at Trivia Night

The Goomburra Town Hall Committee was proud to donate $250 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s ‘Go Pink’ fundraiser during June from funds raised and a private donation.

Thank you to everyone who supported the cause — especially those who embraced the ‘Think Pink’ theme with fabulous attire and fashion flair!

This 15th Trivia Night was a great success and a big thanks to Clint Kenny of Kenny & Co Realty who once again provided the prize money for this year’s event.

The 2025 Wall of Fame will celebrate all the generous businesses that supported the function with donations and publicity.

Goomburra’s local knowledge shone bright on the night. Quizmaster Michael, assisted by Tash from Greenmount, challenged the teams with a lively and entertaining session — even surprising everyone with a musical round.

Tribute was paid to John O’Brien, recognising his long-standing role as Goomburra Hall’s Trivia Wizard over the years.

As part of the evening’s celebrations, the Committee marked Goomburra Hall’s 119th birthday. A cake was cut by dedicated long-time volunteers John O’Brien and Terry Elford.

The continued operation of this privately owned community hall is thanks to ongoing local support but its future depends on that tradition continuing.

The Goomburra Town Hall AGM will be held in September so please attend and help ensure the future of this iconic local hall.
