Coffee and pizza are among the exciting new offerings from Spar Express Hodgson Vale owner Jo Sandy and her son Oliver.

The new drinks offering will complement the opening hours of the shop’s neighbouring business, the popular café Sayllers Brew.

Spar Express Hodgson Vale owner Jo Sandy said coffees  will only be available after Sayller’s Brew has shut its doors for the day and on Sundays, when the café does not open.

Open seven days a week from 7am to 7pm, Spar Express will be serving coffees from 2pm to 7pm from Monday to Saturday and all day 7am to 7pm on Sunday.

Alongside coffee, milk-shakes and thickshakes will be available on Sunday mornings, as well as big breakfasts, on the deck dining and takeaways.

This coming Sunday, 27 July, will be the first day open for coffee and meals.

Jo said for the Friday night pizzas, pick up and go pieces will be ready by 5.30pm in the hotbox and the shop will be taking orders for pick up at a requested time.

“I would like to thank my beautiful staff for making all this possible,” Jo said.

“I would like to thank Hodgson Vale and surrounding areas -  all the customers for keeping us going, keeping our doors open and for all their support and kind words.

“We are truly thankful.”

As well as selling things in store, Spar Express does catering, including outsourcing to school tuckshops.

“We do catering for one person to 1000 people - savoury platters, fruit platters, sweet platters, sandwich platters, wraps platters and hot food platters for any occasion,” Jo said.
