Five Queensland Fire Department crews attended the scene at 12.45am to find most of the house burned to the ground and the occupants outside.

Queensland Ambulance Service reported that the residents did not need treatment.

Led by Goombungee Auxiliary Fire Brigade, firefighters protected the surrounding sheds and properties from damage and at 4.45am, were removing sheet iron to access hot spots that were still burning on the property.

By 11 o’clock on Sunday morning, all fire crews departed, leaving the scene in the hands of the owner and fire investigators.

Barely any part of the house, which was located on Beckman Street behind the school, remained intact.
