“I attended a small primary school outside of Goondiwindi with just 14 students, where my mum was the teaching principal. I later completed Years 8–12 at Goondiwindi State High School. I completed
my Bachelor of Education at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, and I am currently undertaking my Master of Educational Leadership.” Casey said.

“I began my teaching career at St Mary’s Goondiwindi in a Year 3 class of 28 students. I later moved to St Maria Goretti Inglewood, where I taught a multi‑age class from Prep to Year 3 for 3 years. My first principalship was at St Maria Goretti Inglewood from 2020-mid 2025. More recently, I undertook an Acting Principal role at St Joseph’s Chinchilla during the final six months of 2025. I am excited to lead and serve the St Patrick’s Allora community.”

When asked if a Principal takes a Class Casey replied that it varies depending on enrolment numbers. This year, she won’t be taking on her own class. Instead, working closely with teachers to provide support and stepping into classrooms for relief as needed.

As far as introducing specific policies her answer at this early stage is focusing at St Patrick’s on listening, engaging with the community, and gaining a clear understanding of the school’s needs in order to shape our strategic direction and next steps.

If bullying occurs at the School Casey will act quickly and thoughtfully. She will listen to the students involved, make sure everyone feels safe, and work together with families to understand what’s occurred. Casey uses restorative practices to help repair relationships and ensure students feel supported. Her aim is to teach empathy, respect, and responsibility so that issues are resolved and don’t repeat.
