Iris & Rose Show taking place in October
The 2025 Iris and Rose Show 2025 will be taking place on Saturday, 18 October at the Clifton Senior Citizen rooms during Clifton and District Progress Association’s Country Week.
Entries taken from 8am to 10am - not sure how to enter? Pick your iris or roses on as long a stem as possible bring in and the stewards will help you with what to do.
Don’t know the name of your exhibit? We still accept.
There is a class for the nicest perfumed rose.
We will have green bottles for entries but if you have your own that is okay.
The schedule of classes will be available from Raff, Clifton Courier, Clifton Jam Factory, Clifton Railway Station or ring me for a copy.
Thanks to Clifton Community Op Shop funding, we have decided to have Champion in all sections of lris and Rose classes, with a Grand Champion lris and Rose sponsored by Raff Group Clifton and Brunnings.
The Show will be open to the general public from 12.30pm till 4pm.
Entry is a gold coin and raffles will be drawn on the day.
We will also have light refreshments available.
We look forward to seeing your entries on the day, if this time doesn’t suit for entering and you want to drop off Friday please ring me to make arrangements.
Iris plants will be available for sale from 12.30pm along with information on growing them.
We will also have the entries from the local primary schools for the colouring-in competition on display, and the school window displays will be announced as well.
The awards from the lris and Rose show will be presented from 3.30pm.
