Jondaryan BioBlitz completed
After a massive three-day effort spanning four different zones, the Jondaryan BioBlitz is now complete.
BioBlitzers visited four sites at different properties in the Jondaryan district, including the Myall Park Nature Refuge.
Around 40 people made the journey to Jondaryan, some coming from as far away as Brisbane to perform a health check on the animals and plants in our region.
The team visited four different sites, the Myall Park Nature Refuge owned by Joanne and Lindsay Evans, The Jondaryan Recreation Reserve (formerly cricket oval) and two sites on property owned by the Acland Pastoral Company.
New Hope Group’s Mike Law and Georgia Osborne made the trip to the Jondaryan Woolshed to brief Habitat Jondaryan members about healthy and safety procedures on mine land.
The results of the BioBlitz will be published in the Oakey Champion when the data has been collated by Habitat Jondaryan.
