Kingsthorpe competes at SWQ Futsal titles
Kingsthorpe State School competed in the SWQ Futsal titles at Glennie.
Kingsthorpe State School recently competed in the South-West Queensland Regional Futsal titles at The Glennie School.
For the first time Kingsthorpe entered two girls teams, as futsal interest continues to grow at the small school.
The junior team finished third on the ladder, while the senior team finished second in their competition.
Both teams went on to lose in their semi final contests.
Kingsthorpe State School also entered a junior and senior boys’ team, which competed at the University of Southern Queensland.
The junior team finished fifth in its pool, while the senior team finished seventh in its competition.
Following the tournaments, the following students have been selected in the South-West Queensland team which will compete at the State Futsal Championships later this year:
Girls: Darcy Coleman and Emma Stapleton.
Boys: Jack Voll, Logan Snyman and Blake Griffiths.
The students had a wonderful time learning and competing, and look forward to playing more futsal.
