LAC donates another AED
The Pittsworth Local Ambulance Committee has continued its program of defibrillator donations within our community – this time to the Pittsworth Uniting Church.
LAC member Kevin Stevens presented the automated external defibrillator to the Uniting Church Parish Chairman Frank Goodall, with Rev. Willie Liebenberg (at back) and LAC President Geoff Stower (right).
The program is aiming to place AEDs strategically within Pittsworth to have a ring of the life-saving machines around the town in addition to those otherwise provided by government, TRC and private owners.
To date, the LAC has located AEDs within schools, sporting clubs, some businesses and some churches in Pittsworth.
The committee is also hoping in the future to provide an after-hours emergency AED in a secure box in the main street.
