LAC donates two more AEDs

The Pittsworth Local Ambulance Committee have been able to place two more AEDs (defibrillators) within the community as part of the LAC’s ongoing efforts to equip Pittsworth to be able to deal quickly with heart attacks.

Receiving an AED delivered by LAC President Geoff Stower and LAC member Brian May are Wendy and Ken Thorber. They will set up the device at the recycling centre where it will serve workers and customers in the industrial area.

These two additions will expand the Pittsworth network with one being placed in the town’s industrial area (at the container recycling location) and the other being placed in St Peter’s Lutheran Church.

The receivers will care for the AEDs, and in a heart-attack emergency they
will be available to the community.

The LAC intends presenting further AEDs and is in the process of working towards a 24-hour availability AED to eventually be located in the main street.
