Learn About Native Vegetation Management

A workshop to look at Native Vegetation thinning and cultural burning for forest and pasture health will be held at Cunningham next Monday.

Join Dave Lawler from the Department of Resources for veg thinning advice and Robbie Williams from Fire Lore from Cultural Burning talk and demonstration.

This is a great opportunity to learn management of your timbered grazing country.

Topics covered will be how to:

  • economically reduce weed growth

  • reduce overcrowding of regrowth trees

  • increase overall forest health

  • work within the code of practice for veg thinning, legal framework

  • look at how cool fire works with grasses and trees for healthy country

  • scalable practical land management for improved soils and vegetation

The workshop will be held at 3534 Leyburn Cunningham Road, Cunningham on Monday 7th August from 9.30am to 3pm. Morning tea and lunch provided.
