Lifeline for medical centre

Beauaraba Living has linked with Clifton Community Health Service (CCHS) to enhance health care services at Pittsworth.

Representatives of CCHS and Beauaraba Living have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enable the project to proceed.

The partnership is aimed at maintaining and improving health care services for the residents of Pittsworth and Beauaraba Living. 

The MOU signifies a commitment to provide accessible and high-quality primary health care services to the community.

It establishes a branch of Clifton Medical Practice at Beauaraba Living. 

This partnership will take  the clinical expertise of Dr Kate McEniery MBBS and other General Practitioners from the Clifton Medical Practice to the residents of Beauaraba Living and the wider Pittsworth community and prospectively to CCHS and the Clifton community.

The partnership has been welcomed by Beauaraba Living, Chairperson Wayne Saal:

“Beauaraba Living is delighted to join with Clifton Community Health Services in this endeavour,” Mr Saal said. 

“We believe that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and with this partnership our commitment to the wellbeing of our residents and the Pittsworth community continues with the provision of medical services. 

“We look forward to working closely with Clifton Community Health Services to meet the health services required.”

Beauaraba Living Chief Executive Officer Alex Metcalf said the move will enhance health care service.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in our journey to provide holistic care to our residents,” Mr Metcalf said. 

“We believe that together with Clifton Community Health Services, we can enhance the overall health and wellbeing of the community we serve.”

CCHS Chairperson Andrew Douglas said the move is positive.

“This is an exciting collaboration, and we are pleased to be able to offer support to our friends and neighbours,” he said. 

“Our mission is to provide quality, sustainable and responsive solutions that support the community’s dignity, health and resilience. 

“We see this partnership as further development of this objective and one that makes a positive impact on the lives of the residents of both communities.”

Clifton Community Health Services, Executive Director Wannapa Foytong is looking forward to the change.

“Our dedicated team is looking forward to working collaboratively with Beauaraba Living,” Ms Foytong said. 

“We are committed to leading rural health and ensuring that Pittsworth and Beauaraba Living residents receive top-notch primary healthcare services in a convenient and welcoming environment.”
