Inspired by Australia’s unique wildlife and the sanctuaries set up to protect endangered species like the bilby, Merlene hopes to encourage compassion and respect for our native species through her stories.

In ‘The Tenth Egg’, the reader is invited to help Mr Emu solve the mystery of the missing egg.

This delightful story complete with detailed illustrations is available at Blossom Café and Post, Greenmount or by contacting Merlene at merlenekonz@yahoo.com

Merlene’s delightful illustrations are on exhibition at the Clifton Library throughout August.
