Local boxers dominate
He was absolutely brilliant," said a beaming coach Brad Smith after Pittsworth welterweight Stoneleigh Jackson Griffiths defeated Townsville's Aaron Stahl on Saturday night. "He put Stahl to the canvas ion the first round for the eight count. Stahl, quick to his feet, went on to fight another four rounds. "Respect to both men." Mr Smith said it was a tough fight that had the crowd to its feet. "Stay tuned - big announcements to come for Stoneleigh Jackson Griffiths," he said. ' Another Pittsworth boxer, Mohammed al Half also won a unanimous decision in his amateur debut. The fights were part of The Big Fights 30 event in Toowoomba.
