Local’s award at Herefords Annual Youth Show
William York, from Felton, was recognised as a Herefords Queensland’s Youth Ambassador at the organisation’s Annual Youth Show.
At the show Felton local William York was recognised at the 2026 Hereford Youth Annual Show Ambassador.
“Becoming a Queensland Hereford Ambassador means I have been acknowledged for my dedication to the Hereford Youth Affiliation and the breed.
The recognition caps off a long and fruitful experience William has had with Herefords Youth.
“Throughout the past few years the youth affiliation has seen me grow from being a novice at my first camp, to now being involved in the executive committee and providing ballot animals for the comp.
“In receiving the ambassador award it allows recognition of the work and hours I have put into the running of the camp in my roles both as treasurer and president over the last few years.
“Looking forward we are reflecting on this years camp and how we can make it better in the future.
“Another prospect on the horizon is the potential of Queensland hosting the National Hereford Youth Show at some point within the next few years,” William said.
